Welcome to Cardinia Civic Concert Band

The 130-year-old Cardinia Civic Concert Band is a diverse and welcoming community ensemble that has stood the test of time bringing people together through the joy of music! No matter what instrument you play or whether you're a professional, experienced musician, beginner or picking up your instrument after a break, we invite you to be part of something special in one of our many ensembles.

Our band embraces musicians of all ages and skill levels, united by a shared passion for music. We strive to deliver engaging performances while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where players, can grow, develop their skills, and contribute to their community.

Intermediate Band

Intermediate Band offers musicians of all ages and abilities the chance to build their ensemble skills and musicianship in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Senior Band

Senior Band brings together committed musicians to perform substantial concert band repertoire while refining precision, musicality and expressive performance.

Symphony Orchestra

Cardinia Civic Symphony Orchestra unites passionate instrumentalists from across Cardinia Shire to perform powerful symphonic repertoire.

Children's Choir

Voices of Cardinia Children’s Choir unites young singers to discover exciting music, build strong vocal technique and develop confident musicianship in a supportive and uplifting environment.

Community Choir

Voices of Cardinia Community Choir is open to singers aged 18 and over, providing a welcoming and relaxed space for singers to develop musically whilst enjoying meaningful social connections.

Meet Our Musical Director

For more than three decades, Kim Thomsen has built a distinguished career as a professional musician and educator, marked by notable performances and dedicated service to the musical community. Passionate about nurturing talent, Kim has been Musical Director of the Cardinia Civic Concert Band for over 30 years where she has helped our players develop musically and  lead us in fostering a welcoming, inclusive and fun musical environment.

Pakenham Agricultural Show

Cardinia Civic Concert Band

P.B. Ronald Reserve, Corner of Henry and John Streets, Pakenham

Join us on Saturday 14th March as we celebrate our local community and rich history at the Pakenham Agricultural Show.

Get the family together and come along to enjoy some stellar live music from Cardinia Civic Concert Band, along with other captivating entertainment, thrilling rides, fun activities for the kids and displays to marvel at.

Mother's Day Luncheon

Cardinia Civic Concert Band with John Wood

Sat 9th May, 2pm

Soldiers Memorial Hall, Nar Nar Goon

Join us on Saturday 9 May at 2:00pm for a special Mother’s Day Luncheon featuring the Cardinia Civic Concert Band and special guest John Wood.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a relaxed afternoon of live music and a delicious luncheon at Soldiers Memorial Hall, Nar Nar Goon.

Early Bird Tickets – $40 (available until 31 March)
General Admission – $50 (from 1 April)

Each ticket includes reserved seating, luncheon, tea, coffee, soft drinks, a bottle of bubbly for Mum, and a live performance by Cardinia Civic Concert Band.
